There’s some resources you NEED to know about in the City.
Arguably the BEST parent’s group The Golden Gate Mothers Group (they also take men) connects parents with stuff in San Francisco including: sitters, kid-friendly restaurants and just about anything else that has to do with kids. Plus, we hear their play groups are pretty fun too. Check them out: www.ggmg.org
Good news, CPMC has opened its brand new pediatric emergency room at 3700 California Street. Check out the details at http://www.cpmc.org/advanced/pediatrics/services/emergencydept_peds.html We hear it’s amazing…
And if your kids are of school age, check out Parents for Public Schools www.ppssf.org –they’ve created THE network of parents in San Fran and provide the info and resources to keep the connection between parent and school strong.
If you’re expecting…first, CONGRATS!, and second, check out Day One in Laurel Village or at www.dayone.com. They are the one-stop-place-to-shop for expecting and new parents. They’ve got everything from birthing classes to breastfeeding experts. And they’ve got a fantastic little store that sells the best products on the market (will save you tons on time researching sippy cups alone.)
